The fabulous showcases one such beautiful transformation as an old and dark three-story townhouse was turned into a light-filled inviting home by Elizabeth Roberts Architecture and Design. The new loft-like interior combines industrial elements with contemporary sheen to deliver the best of both worlds.
One of the two rear structures hosts the master bedroom suite with the other containing the kids’ bedroom. An undulating roofscape puts the final touches on a truly mesmerizing lakeside home.
Think of space-saving interiors we often imagine quirky desks that disappear into the wall Murphy beds that only come out at night and uber-creative shelving which seamlessly blends into the backdrop.
Finding a new way to insulate the unique roof of the house that keeps out tropical heat and training local workers to adapt to new construction techniques were the two biggest challenges that architects faced during the execution of the project. The result though is a cost-effective practical and inventive dwelling that makes life for its residents a whole lot easier!
