It is a large wooden volume that holds the expansive and double-height public areas of the house and a white stucco structure behind it that contains the private spaces. Wood plays a major role in shaping the contemporary aesthetics of the house on the outside and inside.
It is this continuous presence of brick that gives the addition its unique appeal even as the lovely clerestory windows above usher in a hint of modern industrial flair.
It is the parlor level that contains the ten-foot-high living area with a custom bookshelf that which is cleverly extended to fashion a circulation space for the two cats in the house. The inquisitive cats can meander through the flowing ledge and access different vantage points and trap doors that allow them to navigate through the top two levels of the home.
Natural goodness becomes a part of life at CSF House with the open living space embracing both the green spaces. It is the upper levels that contain the kids’ rooms along with the master bedroom and other private areas.
